About 70 students in the room, full concentration and genuine willingness to participate in the classes. Many a teacher or lecturer could envy the atmosphere that prevailed in the first class of the Quartz Academy.
Adam Klimek and Patryk Mikiciuk, who are well known to all from TVN Turbo, together with the technical department of TotalEnergies, have created a one-of-a-kind training course that gives the opportunity to gain professional knowledge about the properties and functions of engine oils. The aspects of lubricant efficiency and their influence on the operation of other car components were discussed.
The first to take advantage of this was the students of the Complex of Automotive and Secondary Schools No. 2 in Warsaw. The lectures were conducted by the most popular mechanic in Poland - Adam Klimek, who was supported by the Technical Department Manager of TotalEnergies Marketing Polska - Andrzej Husiatyński. Experts had no problems with focusing the attention of the audience and involving them in unusual classes, combining lectures with an interactive knowledge test.
A modern setting
The Quartz Academy is not only about knowledge, but also about modern ways of transmitting it. The lecturers supplemented their statements with short instructional videos with Patryk Mikiciuk, one of the most recognizable Polish automotive journalists. The students answered the questions on an ongoing basis. Both their correctness and reaction time were saved automatically. The top five students received attractive prizes.
Automotive is his hobby
Mateusz, the winner of the first edition of the Quartz Academy, told us in a short conversation that he has been interested in the automotive industry from a primus, plans to work in the automotive industry and ... he definitely prefers a car repair shop to a desk.
Adam Klimek, Team TotalEnergies
“I am glad that I can lead these classes and be a living proof that I want to be able to do it. It is great that together with TotalEnergies, we can not only share knowledge with the younger generation, but also spread our passion for the automotive industry.”
Piotr Zając, Director of the Motor and Secondary School Complex No.2 in Warsaw
“We are open to attractive forms complementing traditional learning. This is met with an appropriate response - we see students who see it as a certain opportunity for professional development and apply better to their learning. Every year, from 100 to 150 graduates leave the gates of our school, who enter the labor market as qualified professionals.
Classes conducted by automotive companies are a valuable supplement to the curriculum. We, as a school, want to provide a solid foundation. We leave the specialization to potential future employers ”.
Piotr Stelmaszewski, Complex of Automotive and Secondary Schools No. 2 in Warsaw
“I like the form of the message. It is attractive for students, arouses their genuine interest. "
Ewa Kalinowska, TotalEnergies Marketing Polska
“Such meetings with young people confirm our conviction that the Quartz Academy is very much needed. The positive reaction of the teaching staff motivates us extremely to act and organize further events of this type that will take place in the coming time. "
