TotalEnergies is one of the leading manufacturers of UTTO oils. Due to their specificity, they are used basically only in agriculture. At the same time, they are among the most advanced lubricants on the market.
Need is the mother of invention
UTTO - basic information
Where are UTTO oils used?
It is worth noting that UTTOs are used for all types of transmissions - both manual and automatic with torque converters and CVTs.UTTO oils can also work in hydraulic systems and there it is necessary, for example, reduced foaming ability and adequate viscosity to transfer loads and guarantee shear resistance.
An additional function of UTTO oils is to maintain the seals of the mechanisms and the hydraulic system to reduce or even eliminate possible leaks and the associated loss of the fluid and environmental contamination.
Manufacturers' approvals
In the case of ZF, these are: - TE-ML 03, TE-ML 05, TE-ML 17, TE -ML 21. In the case of the GIMMA brand - CMS M1145, CMS M1143.

Summary
„In many cases, using UTTO oils is the only option. However, we encourage you to choose UTTO oils from proven manufacturers such as TotalEnergies. The fact that this involves the purchase of several tens of liters of oil may prompt the buyer to look for savings. The cost of repairing a transmission or hydraulic system is usually incomparably higher than even a whole barrel of UTTO oil from TotalEnergies.”
