TotalEnergies is once again expanding its range of oils. On the one hand, this is the result of cooperation with engine manufacturers who develop new, even more demanding designs. On the other hand, it is a response to the demand of customers who service their cars on the secondary market and are looking for an oil with the appropriate approval for their car.
Some of the new references are simply a response to the demand of the secondary market. A perfect example of this is the new gear oils. TotalEnergies introduces oils to the market that are theoretically treated by car manufacturers as non-changeable. In practice, however, it turned out that regular replacement can significantly extend the life of the transmissions, and this is why they appear in the offer.
Highest suitable matches
The TotalEnergies range has become so extensive that it includes oils for hybrids, high-performance downsizing engines, advanced diesels, and units with reduced internal friction. Notably, TotalEnergies is also the main manufacturer of oils for the latest Wankel engines produced by Mazda.
Quartz INEO Efficiency 0W-30
Quartz INEO Xtra Efficiency 0W-12
This specially formulated oil from the Fuel Efficiency family has a low HTHS = 2.0. This makes it a product that significantly reduces internal friction in the engine, and this contributes to lower fuel consumption.
Quartz INEO Long Life 0W-30
Quartz INEO RCP 5W-30
Quartz INEO RCP 5W-30 specially developed and recommended by Stellantis for 1.5 BlueHDi turbocharged diesel engines (DV5R: YHX / YHY / YHZ / YHW / YHV / YHR) including Euro 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4) produced until 02/2023, as well as for use in EB2 Gen1 (1.2L PureTech) turbo gasoline engines (model series: HNZ, HNY, HNX, HNW, HNV) meeting the Euro 6.1 standard produced until 08/2018.
It is also suitable for diesel and gasoline engines requiring PSA B71 2290 approval.
Quartz 9000 Advanced 0W-40
Quartz INEO FGO 5W-40
The QUARTZ INEO FGO 5W-40 also meets the VW 511.00 standards, which allows it to be used in the best engines of the German VW Group equipped with GPF (W12, V10, V8). Therefore, we are also talking about selected units of brands such as Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini. All of these engines operate at high temperatures and high operating pressures. This promotes oil oxidation and negatively affects the molecular structure, leading to increased drag, contamination and deposits in the engine. QUARTZ INEO FGO 5W-40 with ART (Age Resistance Technology) protects them from this, thanks to its advanced, very modern formula providing excellent antioxidant and anti-wear properties.
Quartz INEO Xtra HKR C5 0W-20
This oil, developed on the basis of advanced synthetic technology, belongs to the LowSaps group and really helps to save fuel.
TRAXIUM GEAR 9 FE 75W
FLUIDMATIC DVI MV
Some designers do not assume that the oil in these transmissions will be changed throughout their lifetime. However, the market has verified these assumptions and it turns out that oil change has a positive effect on the operation and service life of the transmissions. However, it should be remembered that an automatic transmission is a very complicated device. It requires oil with appropriate physicochemical and friction parameters.
The FLUIDMATIC DVI MV is one of the most technologically advanced proposals in this class, designed for the latest transmissions. It is used, among others, in AISIN WARNER: AW-2 (AISIN AT8) transmissions used around the world in many vehicle brands (mainly from the Stellantis group). It can be successfully used in transmissions from the ZF P/C 6HP / 8HP / 9HP family. Also ideal for transmissions where DEXRON VI, MARCON LV, JASO M315, etc. are required.
